The present days scientist believe that the petroleum fuel reservation in the earth crust will vanish in over 40 years. Then the crisis of fuel will occurs and that will be dooms day of the energy. To face the problems in upcoming future, scientist made research in various alternatives of the petroleum fuels. Electronic cars, trains etc are some example of it. Scientist also studying in the Hydrogen fuel as one the alternatives of the petroleum fuel. Hydrogen is the combustible gas. Its burns with oxygen and gives water. Liquid Hydrogen and Liquid Oxygen are used as the fuel in rocket.pan>
Hydrogen gas
burn without producing harmful gases. So it is environment friendly gas.
Hydrogen fuel is considered as the green fuel. In the developed countries like
German, France, England and other country, the hydrogen fuel car and vehicle
are in used.Scientist are developing more advance cars of Hydrogen fuel
engine. Hydrogen fuel produce lot of energy, so the car engine will be strong
with very high speed capacity.
Indian Oil Corporation ( IOC) had ordered 10
vehicle of Hydrogen fuel engine for 2022.
Hydrogen is
the gas formed from the homogenous mixture of two Hydrogen atom(H). Hydrogen
atom atomic number is 1. It have only one electron in it orbital. It lies on
the First Group and First Period in the Periodic Table. Hydrogen gas is very
lighter gas and it rarely found in nature. Hydrogen Gas can be made in various
method:
1) From acid and metal
Zinc + dil. Sulphuric
Acid = Zinc Sulphate + Hydrogen gas
Magnesium +
dil. Sulphuric Acid = Magnesium Sulphate + Hydrogen gas
2) From
water
Water on
electrolysis = Hydrogen gas + Oxygen gas
