Perseverance mission in Mars

Mars is the fourth planet from the sun and also the second smallest planet. It is one of the most researched planets of the solar system. It is famously known for its red colour when it is watched through a telescope . The red colour of Mars is due to the presence of red minerals called iron oxide (limonite). Scientists are investigating the presence of life on mars. But ,no signs have yet been discovered.  The poles of the Mars are covered by dry ice and water ice which evaporate rapidly when the sun rays fall on them and condensate when it becomes dark. It has large volcanic mountains which are now extinct. One of the volcanic mountains is Nix Olympia (old name) or Olympus (new name) which has three times more height than that of Mt. Everest. It is also the second highest mountain of the solar system.
