A radio which requires no current or battery

British inventor, Trevor Baylis has developed a radio which could be used in areas without electricity. Built to withstand most climatic conditions, the radio, known as Freeplay requires no batteries, and gives 30 - 40 minutes of clear listening time after only 20 seconds of winding. Baylis based his initial ideas on the way old - fashioned wind up gramophones work.
